Challenge: Spend 10 minutes a day for the next 5 days in 5 different places, i.e. subway, take-out counter, coffee shop, etc., and turn on your antennae. Jot down some song ideas based on each of those 10 minutes. Then, at the end of the week, choose your favourite and write a song.
I have written several songs based on this principle. Why do all the heavy lifting if your friends (or the world around you) can provide the inspiration. It's a ripe apple on the tree, just pluck it.
I think this may be a slightly tougher challenge then last week since I'm going to have to wait until at least Friday to start writing.
Day 1:
Monday Morning Car Ride (Titles/Ideas/Themes/Lyrics): I got these ideas driving into work, listening to the radio and just observing my surroundings.
